Stephen A. Cawley

Steve Cawley was born in Manchester, England. He trained to teach at Leeds University and enjoyed over thirty years teaching A Level to sixth form students. Despite the demands of the job and helping to bring up three children, Steve found the time to write two books. One proved to be a best seller, satisfied with his efforts Steve laid down his pen.

Lucky enough to obtain early retirement from the 'day job' in 2011, Steve put his increased leisure time to good use by intensifying his interest in horse racing. It was while travelling around British, Irish and French racecourses that he came up with the idea of writing a third book;"Four Hooves and a prayer", a tongue in cheek account of racehorse ownership on a limited budget. This book was the first of a trilogy that focused on the same theme. 'I Really Gotta Horse' and "Round Ireland with and without a horse' complete the series.

Steve lives in Manchester with his wife Sue.
