Dr. Leonard-Johnson is a current member of the American Cannabis Nurses Association (ACNA).

He is a recent past "Director of Nursing" for a Florida drug detoxification and rehabilitation facility. At this facility people were in recovery from addiction to heroin, meth, alcohol, pain and anxiety pills.

He is certified as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Steve has many years of experience working in the critical care psychiatric setting including the emergency room, geriatric, forensic, acute detox, adult, dual diagnosis and intensive care psychiatric units. Steve has worked in New York metropolitan area hospitals and spent five years in home health care as a psychiatric nurse in an under-served, rural area of Maine.

Steve is also a Senior Fellow with the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance. Certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, Steve is an active member of the American Massage Therapy Association. His area of clinical interest is in the study of mind/body interaction preferring holistic treatment of pain, anxiety and trauma; he has developed a sophisticated style in deep tissue massage using CBD oil, infrared heat and high speed vibration as the base. Steve is an original CBD massage therapy developer.

He is also a member of American Mensa and Intertel societies.
