Debra Whittam was born in 1957 in Delanson, NY a small village in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. The eldest of five children, Debra's dream of travel and adventure began at the age of two when she repeatedly climbed out of her crib, made her way down and out of the second floor apartment, and toddled down 'Post Office Hill' in full view of neighbors who ran for their phones to alert her mother. Always the adventurer, Debra now spends her time in Pittsburgh, PA as a licensed professional mental health therapist preferring to facilitate her favorite groups 'Grief Club' and 'Pleaser's Club' (when we say YES but really mean NO). Other than running groups and spending time with her children and grandchildren, Debra can be found relaxing and writing at a beautiful lake house she rents in the Adirondacks or in Paris where she feels the best.
