E.R. Murray (Elizabeth Rose Murray) writes across multiple genres for adults, young adults, and children.

Her fifth novel, Arabella Pepper - The Wild Detective (Natural World Publishing) was longlisted for the 2025 Wainwright Prize for Children’s Fiction.

Previous novels include Caramel Hearts (Alma Books) and the award-winning Nine Lives Trilogy (Mercier Press); The Book of Learning (Dublin UNESCO Citywide Read 2016) The Book of Shadows (shortlisted Irish Literacy Association/Irish Book Awards) & The Book of Revenge.

Other recent publications include a five-part Legends of the Land audio story series for SKODA, plus inclusion in the following anthologies; I See the Moon and the Moon Sees Me (O’Brien Press), I Am the Wind (Little Island) Women on Nature (Unbound Press), Wild Wonders (Natural World Publishing) Reading the Future (Arlen House), Autonomy (New Binary Press), and Elysian: Creative Responses (New Bound Press).

Originally from Middlesbrough, UK, Elizabeth lives in West Cork, Ireland, where she writes, fishes and grows her own vegetables.
