I became a ghostwriter in 2011, opening Perfect Memoirs to produce books about true life stories and family histories. I have helped over 25 authors to get their stories into print, and have authored and published two nonfiction books of my own: "Time to Tell" and "Fire of Commitment". I moved from Georgia to Nashville, Tennessee, Music City, to write songs and music features, and have two CDS of songs out, too.
Like many writers, I've had a lot of jobs! I was a VideoJournalist when CNN opened, produced small business tv commercials for the circus and for dancing shoes, and wrote a speech about education for a U.S. Senator. I managed four historic, active cemeteries for a few years in Columbus, Georgia, before becoming a nationally certified English and ESL teacher.
You can read my blog about how you can write your memoir and family history, "Best Book Ever" on her website, PerfectMemoirs.com. Besides writing, I play guitar, garden, cook, and travel with my Dutchman, Evert.
Writing honors include Associated Press awards, Advertising Club of America awards, International Bluegrass Foundation Lesson Plan of the Year, and the Berkeley-Oxford writing scholarship to Oxford University in England, and election to Secretary of the International Association of Personal Historians in 2015.
