Chris Rossbach

Chris Rossbach was born in Germany in 1959 and first came to the United States on a Rotary student exchange program in 1976. Forty years later (2016) he became an American citizen. The examining immigration officer's first question was, "What took you so long?"

He gained a "joie de vivre" through many unusual experiences, including meeting a slave in Morocco, sleeping alone on the top of Half Dome in Yosemite, getting strip searched by machine gun toting Romanian communists, and hiking the 500 mile Camino de Santiago in northern Spain. None of this, however, compares to the joy of knowing the Lord since he became a Christian twenty years ago.

Chris is a pediatric cancer doctor, who has worked, lectured and published in Tampa Bay for 23 years. He has trained in Germany (Hannover), Connecticut (Yale), New York (Mt. Sinai), Maryland (Baltimore) and Washington State (Seattle), where he completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplantation.
