Hi, I am Noelle Frances Ferry and I greatly enjoy counted and surface embroidery. I have completed over 150 embroidery projects. You can view the majority of them on my personal journal blog at a-stitching-good-time.com. I am quite proud of each of my completed embroidery projects so I hope you will take a look at them. On most of them the designer, design name and place of purchase is listed within the blog posting in case a viewer of my finished pieces wants to work the same design.

For most of my five decades of stitching I obtained the patterns by purchasing kits at craft stores. About the time that I finished my first Hardanger runner the explosion of the web occurred and little by little embroidery web pages, blogs and searchable image sites like Facebook and Pinterest appeared.

Today if you want to learn a new stitch just enter a few words into a web search and a wealth of information arrives on your screen. And for me, one of the best features of the web are the downloadable pdf and e-book embroidery designs. I don't have to pay shipping, the design is quickly available to me after purchase and I can take the pattern along with me on my Kindle, iPad or iPhone.
