Derek A. Kamal

Derek has been writing since he could. He is a lover of worlds and the possibilities of story gaming, fantasy, and genre fiction. After trying to negotiate agents and the publishing scene, he decided self-publishing was the path for him. This year he released his first game, The Dig, and self-published his first novel, HOMES, and whatever else he is able to do.

Writing, for him, is an outlet for exploring new places in the mind. In these places we find new angles of experience by which to evaluate our own lives and the world in which we live.

He's an (OTP) ATLien. He teaches. He tries to put family first and keep relationships in line. In the in-between he writes and he plays. Those two facets of life have never gone away, through the many changes of life, and show no signs of going any place. And so on them he's staked his claim.
