Sharyn Henry is the Red Hat Cowgirl, a horseback riding teacher specializing in using horses to empower her students. As far back as she can remember, she’s been a horse-crazed kid, but now she’s that same kid in a much older body!
She’s been an avid horsewoman for more than forty years, riding several different disciplines, and studying with 4H, Pony Club, and various riding coaches.
Sharyn remembers well the life skills she learned growing up riding and the self-confidence it fostered. Horses gave her a purpose beyond school that was a wonderful place to belong. She knows firsthand the powerful connection we have with horses and what they can teach us about ourselves.
As a mother of three and an active participant in their activities, Sharyn saw the benefits of their work around the horses. It was a natural transition to share the same opportunities with their friends.
From that point forward, her purpose was realized. Her expertise and personal experience with horses and kids grew into combining the two to teach life skills. Her teaching has continued to touch more than 250 kids over the years.
Sharyn helps kids from all walks of life learn about themselves, become strong communicators, become confident and grow from the inside out. And that’s straight from the horse’s mouth!
