Audrey O'Shea

The former owner of a computer consulting company, Audrey O'Shea holds two degrees and a New York State teaching license. Ms. O’Shea chose to become an educator to share her knowledge with the next wave of IT professionals. She has taught at the college level, in technical Schools, and adult seminars with courses ranging from Electrical Theory and Practice for Energy Workers, to Microsoft Office, CompTIA A+, an Introduction to Cybersecurity, and CISCO certification. Audrey recently retired from teaching after helped many students learn what they need to know to pass their certification exams.

Audrey has authored four technical books: A Geek Girl’s Guide to Electronics and the Internet of Things, Wiley, 2020, CompTIA A+ Complete Practice Tests, 3rd Edition, Wiley, 2022, and LPI Web Development Essentials Study Guide: Exam 030-100 Study Guide, Wiley 2023, A+ Complete Practice Tests, 4th Edition, Wiley, 2025. She has also served as technical editor on other books leading to CompTIA certifications.

She currently works freelance, authoring custom publications for various clients.

Audrey lives in upstate New York with her husband, chickens, and fur babies. When she isn’t behind a computer you can find her hiking in the Adirondack Mountains or kayaking on a lake somewhere.
