I was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia in 2012 at the age of 57 years young. I have become very active in advocating for those with dementia around the world. I participate in online support groups, and I'm a mentor for newly diagnosed individuals. I also participate on the panel of experts in "Dementia Chats" a recorded meeting on Alzheimer's Speaks web site. This booklet "Vascular Dementia - An Inside Perspective" is my first booklet. It is a short and simple documentation of my personal experiences with diagnosis, symptom management and a few tips for living well with dementia.
