About the author

The author navigates between two seemingly distant worlds that, at their core, share the same search for structure and meaning: technology and writing.

He is the youngest of ten siblings, born in a densely populated Caracas neighborhood. His childhood unfolded between the end of Marcos Pérez Jiménez's dictatorship and the dawn of democracy.

He studied at a school called "La Constancia," run by Salesian priests, where regular instruction was complemented by technical and craft subjects, as well as some sports. He completed his high school studies in electronics. He enrolled in the first cohort of students at the Litoral Campus of Simón Bolívar University, majoring in Electronic Technology. Later, he pursued a degree in Systems Engineering at the Bicentenaria University of Aragua.

He served as a student leader, delegate to co-governance bodies, president of the Student Center, and a founding member of the board of directors of ASOPROVARGAS, an NGO created to promote the development of Vargas State. He was a teacher trainer and a member of the athletics club.

He began his professional career in computer hardware in 1982. He joined Intevep (PDVSA's Institute for Technological Research and Development) in 1987, in the Telecommunications department. In January 2003, he was among the twenty thousand PDVSA employees laid off.

Throughout his professional career, he has trained in electronics, telecommunications, data networks, and project management, and has dedicated a significant portion of his career to consulting. In addition to mastering rigorous technical language, he has cultivated the habit of observation and storytelling.

His work encompasses reflective essays, poetry, short stories, and fiction, with a marked emphasis on suspense and thrillers. In this collection of stories, the author sets aside the fast pace of corporate life to delve into memory and introspection.
