Lauren Rico

Lauren E. Rico is an award-winning author of twisty, emotionally charged suspense about family secrets, hidden identities, complicated relationships, and the dangerous truths people will do almost anything to keep buried. Her novels have been selected by Book of the Month, Aardvark Book Club, and Libby, among other honors.

Before she began keeping readers up past their bedtimes, Lauren built a career as one of the country’s leading classical music broadcasters, sharing the stories behind the world’s great composers and their music. Eventually, she decided she wanted to tell a few stories of her own.

Her novels include *Familia*, *After the Ocean*, and *Mirror Image*, a psychological suspense novel about identical twins, identity, trauma, and a mystery in which nothing is quite what it seems.

Lauren lives on Long Island with her husband and their rescue dog, Sandy, in a house that is usually a little messy, occasionally quiet, and always full of stories.
