Dear Reader,

Figuring yourself out and what to do in life is never easy. It’s taken me most of mine to see that I wanted to be a writer. I finally found my passion in life. Something that I can’t stay away from. Something will always be a part of me, no matter what.

It's been almost four years since I published my first book. I'll be honest, I had no idea where it was going. I was scared. Terrified, actually. But I had to try. Something inside me told me I had to, or I would regret it for the rest of my life. Four books later. What's changed? Everything. I've been pounding on my craft. I've been learning. I've been upgrading. I've been studying. I've been pushing myself to the absolute limit. Why? So my next book would be better than my last one. But this isn't a competition. I don't look at it like I'm trying to beat the world. That's not it at all. Instead, look at it like I'm pushing the envelope. Like a child, I ask little questions such as, "how far can I take this?" Think of a Redwood sapling looking up at the sky and asking itself, "how tall can I grow?" For no other reason than to simply find out. That's where I am. Chasing mastery. I may never find it. But if you believe in old adages, then you'll know that it's not about the destination it's about the journey. I'm not here to be a best-seller, I'm here to be the best writer I can be.

So join me. Open a book and let yourself go. Put your phone down and find a cozy spot. Take a break from the traffic, the bills, the chaos, and the worry. It'll be there when you get back. Instead, take a journey. Carve out time to let your mind wander. And read. Let my words paint a story inside your mind.
