Michael Tressler has been working professionally with Microsoft Windows since Windows NT 3.1 was released. Since 1993 the majority of his career has been focused on the implementation, support, and operations of Microsoft server products.
In 2009, his boss at the time told him that he would be responsible for the company's implementation of Office Communications Server 2007 R2. Quite honestly, he wasn't terribly excited. He had always avoided the telephony side of IT as best as he could. However, as he started enabling Enterprise Voice in OCS, he became seduced by the possibilities of true Unified Communications.
By the time Lync was released, he was voraciously reading every tidbit he could find on the Internet.
Michael has been a Lync consultant and has worked at a multinational corporation where one of his primary responsibilities was implementing Enterprise Voice. He has worked either directly or indirectly on projects on every continent. Except Antarctica.
He also maintains the UC Now website found at uc-now.com. This site contains an aggregation of over 120 English-language Skype for Business-related blogs. For those with Android devices, look for the "UC Now" app on your devices app store.
