Alexander J. Sannella

Alexander J. Sannella is currently an Associate Professor of Accounting at the Rutgers Business School and the Director of the MBA in Professional Accounting Program, Director of the Master of Accountancy in Professional Accounting Program and the Director of the Rutgers Business School Teaching Excellence Center. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting, both from Iona College. Professor Sannella received his Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance from New York University and is a New York State Certified Public Accountant. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Rutgers University.

Dr. Sannella has worked in the accounting profession and has over 40 years teaching experience at the university level and over 30 years experience in developing and teaching commercial and investment bank training programs.

He has published many scholarly journal articles and three textbooks. His third text, Intermediate Accounting, published by Pearson, is based on his original manuscript which has been used in his classes for almost 30 years.
