Ryan Gallant

My name is Ryan Gallant, I've hit my big 3-0 milestone as of August 2015 and have started feeling creakier in the joints already. My home base is the quaint lil' burg of Charlottetown, PE, Canada, where I'm a simple man, of simple tastes. Though none of this explains my penchant for complicated plot and morally sticky characterization. But isn't it more fun that way? I hear you agreeing, so I will agree to agree.

I started writing with serious intent back in high school, after I first sampled the brilliance of Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction" screenplay, and embarked on a quest to develop my skills as a screenwriter, first and foremost, despite also being a dedicated book reader and a Stephen King fan[atic]. And while I still consider the screenwriting craft my strongest suit as a writer, I turned from screenwriting to expand my horizons in 2009 with the completion of the first draft of "Crimson Zero", a Canadian spy thriller in the vein of Ian Fleming's James Bond series. At the time, it had been just another screenplay in my top drawer, gathering dust and going nowhere. I enjoyed the process and have an enduring affinity for the literary, so I now proudly call both mediums home.

I hope you all enjoy "Crimson Zero" for starters, Amazon Readers, and if you do, be assured that the sequel, tentatively titled "Die Today, Live Tomorrow", is in the pipeline as I type this very bio.

So with all that having been said, the only thing left to say is... CHEERS!
