Catherine McCarran grew up in Massachusetts. She got hooked on writing (and the concept of creative control) at age 10 when she wrote, directed and produced her first TV project--a murder mystery--for the elementary school channel. She has been trying to top that success ever since.
After earning a BA in History, Catherine became a flight attendant and made it her mission to visit every airport Cinnabon in America. During the past twenty years she's lived in Houston, Los Angeles, New Jersey, San Francisco, Seattle, and Austin, TX.
When she isn't reading and writing about the Tudor world, she's binge watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer (#TeamAngel; deepest apologies to any Spuffies reading this), spoiling the very best mini-Dachshund in the world, and plotting her way to being the next Shonda Rhimes--of historical fiction. We need more costume dramas on TV, don't you think?
Catherine currently lives on the East Coast. Queenbreaker: Perseverance is her first novel.
