Laura Yang

Laura is the author of The True Story of God’s Creation, a Seuss-inspired rhyming book born in a fifth-grade classroom. While teaching a particularly lively group of students, Laura picked up The Lorax and began to read. The kids were mesmerized—and she was reminded of the power of playful rhyme and fantastical illustrations to communicate meaningful truth. That moment inspired her to create fun, engaging stories that share a clear Christian worldview.

Determined to do it well, Laura taught herself to write in Seuss-style iambic pentameter and searched worldwide for an illustrator who could capture the whimsical style she envisioned. She ultimately partnered with Angga Prasetyawan of Indonesia to bring the story to life.

Laura is also the author of the best-selling book Everyday Evangelism and the former host of the radio program by the same name. She founded Brave Faith, a ministry dedicated to equipping Christians to share their faith in everyday life.

Laura’s writing has appeared in Focus on the Family’s Clubhouse Magazine and Today’s Christian Living. An evangelist and speaker, she presents to groups including MOMCo and Stonecroft. When she’s not writing, Laura enjoys Pilates and frozen yogurt.
