Barbara Karten

A graduate of project management in corporate environments, Barbara now focuses on the value of project management in non-corporate environments, including promoting the benefits of project management as a life skill for individuals, and the benefits of project management for schools and nonprofit organizations to manage and organize their projects.

Barbara connects individuals to simple project management tools and techniques appropriate to plan and manage risk on their projects.

She focuses on training for practitioners and teaching at the university level. As the Central Mass PMI (Project Management Institute) Chapter liaison to the PMIEF (Project Management Institute Educational Foundation), she connects organizations with project management expertise.

She advocates that the project experience in complex corporate environment offers valuable lessons for individuals and organizations, and these lessons can be simplified for use in a less complex organizational environment and as life skills for individuals of all ages.
