Charity Nelson
Charity A. Nelson, a native of Chicago, IL, is the fourth of six children born to David and Dorothy Nelson, Pastors of New Destiny of Faith Kingdom Ministry in Louisville, KY.
Charity received Christ into her heart on August 1, 1985, at the young age of 7 years old. As a young child and up until today, one of her greatest and strongest spiritual mentors has been her mother, Dorothy, who has been effectively ministering The Word of God and spreading the Gospel of God’s love for over 30 years. Charity is a member of Living Word Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor Bill and Veronica Winston. She also holds a graduate degree from the ministry’s Joseph Business School.
Charity is currently a Project Manager for a Fortune 100 company, a community activist and an avid volunteer. She also started a mentoring program that works with at risk high school students.
Charity is a dynamic teacher of God’s Word who has a gifted ability to teach with clarity, simplicity, revelation and with power. She has been blessed to travel throughout the U.S., Europe and Africa assisting with mission programs and ministering The Word of God. It is no surprise that under all of this wonderful tutelage, Charity has grown in to the spiritual powerhouse that she is today.
Not only is Charity spiritually anointed and educated, she also holds a B.A. in Psychology and an A.A. in French from Indiana University Northwest. In 2009, Charity’s entrepreneurial gifts manifested as she started her own publishing company, Scribe Publications, and also TDT Consulting Firm, a corporate strategy development and marketing firm. She stands as owner and C.E.O. of both companies.
Many who encounter Charity are blown away by all that she has accomplished at such a young age. Yet, Charity humbly gives God all the glory, knowing that she can do nothing without Him.
Charity’s work is her worship. Her heartbeat is seeing people experience the fullness of God. She is motivated by God’s love in all that she does and is passionate about expanding God’s Kingdom. Her greatest desire is for people to see God in her and all that she does and for them to experience God in a personal, intimate and powerful way. The song that inspires and motivates Charity to do what she does for God’s Kingdom is “How great is our God.” As the song says, Charity’s desires is for, “...all the world will see how great, how great is our God”. For He is truly the Name above all names! The Name above all situations and circumstances!
Her new book, Developed Through Dirt, which was written from her personal experiences, is sure to bring deliverance to many who read it. In this book, Charity transparently shares many of her dark days with you and reveals how God delivered her from them. You will find that this book is powerfully written yet easy to comprehend and at many times will make you laugh out loud! You will, no doubt, be able to relate to her stories and prayerfully you too will be able to receive deliverance from your struggles.
Developed Through Dirt will help readers understand that every negative circumstance can have a positive outcome. The book does not deny that your pains and struggles are real, but it focuses on the realness and power of God’s love for you to overcome every circumstance we face. God’s plans for our lives can be achieved when we look beyond our circumstances and put our faith and trust in His love. It’s a simple as that! This book will show you how!
