Dick Meehan

Dick Meehan is a graduate of MIT and Imperial College, University of London, and has taught at Stanford University for 30 years, though he attributes the core of his education to six years of grim attendance to Roxbury Latin School in the 1950s. He is the author of two books published by MIT Press and has a Youtube channel with several hundred thousand views under the name Jack Swelters ("In Thailand a Man Needs Three Things" and "Mem: Seeking her American Father") focussing on fifty years and many experiences living in Thailand. Lately he has been doing real estate development in Bangkok (villageinthecity), gentleman farming and raising water buffalos in his old village in upcountry Thailand, and enjoying the feedback and fast turnaround of writing for Amazon Kindle ("A Thai Woman Every Day" (under the pen name Jack Swelters) and "Tropical Cool: A Buddhist manual of Air Conditioning"). He is currently completing a book titled "Pneumonia for Old Men".
