Laurel Nakai

Laurel is a children’s author and singer-songwriter. She is the founder of Paper Dove Press, a publishing company through which she published her first picture book, The World God Made for Me. She is deeply passionate about teaching children about different faiths, both the ways they are different and the same, and feels it is an avenue towards creating a more peaceful world. As a musician, she writes songs for kids and kids at heart. You can find her music on her YouTube Channel SongBird. She has also lent her voice to several theme songs for shows on KidLit TV. She writes, and sings, and plays, at her home in New Jersey, where she lives with her husband and two sons.
