Makini is an award-winning entrepreneur and proud founder of A Walk in My Stilettos. As a mindset coach, she has created a successful business focused on personal development and helping women thrive. She is also a certified Proctor Gallagher consultant, a podcast host, a 5-time author, and a social media influencer. She has had the honour of being mentored directly by the late Bob Proctor, his wife Linda Proctor and his daughter Colleen Proctor.

She founded Legacy Leavers Media, helping women entrepreneurs self-publish with the same tools and resources as traditional publishers without the need for their validation or approval.

She has been nominated for the Peoples Choice Award for Best Black Canadian Podcaster as host of the 5-star rated ‘A Walk in My Stilettos’ podcast. Now one of the top 1.5% most popular podcasts globally, it focuses on inspiring women to conquer their fears, own their stories, and strengthen their resilience.

Makini’s goal is to help women improve their quality of life while spreading awareness about the importance of mindset. Makini is a 5-time nominee for the RBC Women Entrepreneur Awards. In the 2018 Canadian Election, she ran for Provincial Parliament to enact positive change and lead by example.
