Richard D. “Ky” Owen is an attorney with Goodwin & Goodwin, LLP. He received his undergraduate degree in journalism and economics from Michigan State University in 1981 and his law degree from Hamline University School of Law in 1984.
Raised in a family where writing was both practice and inheritance, he considers himself, in his own words, a “writer by birth.” That lineage informs the clarity of his legal work and the voice of his fiction. He is the author of None Call Me Dad.
He resides in Charleston, West Virginia with his wife, Tammy J. Owen, and their dogs—Roscoe, Zeus, and Princess Leia.
