Leanne W. Smith is an author, professor, and podcaster. Leaving Independence, her debut historical fiction novel, was an Amazon bestseller shortlisted for a 2017 Inspie Award. A Contradiction to His Pride followed. Her latest book, Alone in a Cabin, is a contemporary romantic suspense about a woman who meets a mysterious stranger when she rents the perfect writer’s retreat. Smith is a faculty member of Lipscomb University's College of Business where she teaches students how to get jobs. Smith also hosts a vocational stories podcast called "Gladness & Hunger" based on a quote by Frederick Buechner that suggests the vocational sweet spot is to find where "your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet."
