I began writing true-life short stories in 1999 after my very first submission won a writing contest sponsored by “Guideposts.” In 2007, I became fully disabled after thirty years in nursing. Instead of being disabled, however, I decided that, as long as I could write, I would consider myself enabled.
My husband and I, both ordained, continued to do free family counseling from our home until his death in 2009. At that low point in my life, I cried out to God for direction. I heard a voice in my spirit saying, “write a book.” I continued writing and publishing my short stories, but I kept hearing, “write a book.”
After several years, of recording my strange, but often funny dreams, I realized they could actually be parts of a story. Paranormal and supernatural were not my thing but, the words, “write a book,” would not leave my mind. Finally, I sat down at my computer and said, “Okay, Lord, I have no idea what you want, so it is up to you.”
Five hours later, my very first fiction novel started to take shape and book one of the trilogy, “In Search of the Key of David,” was born. Finally, in 2018, I had the nerve to have book one, "The Symbol of Knowledge" published. Book two, "The Symbol of Wisdom" should be published in the next few months. Book three, "The Symbol of Power" is scheduled to be published by the end of the year. Dec. 2019 UPDATE: All three books of the trilogy are available in eBook
Over the years, my true stories have been published in Guideposts, Guideposts for Teens, Angels on Earth and Chicken Soup for the Soul.
I presently have ten books available on Amazon in both eBook and paperback form. I also have a five-book romantic adventure series I hope to soon make available.
Blessings and happy reading to all.
