Kimberly Mcallister

Author Kimberly M. McAllister was born in Hampton Virginia in 1968 to Mr. and Mrs. David and Patricia Dunmore. She was welcomed with love from the Dunmore and Pope family. Her and her siblings, Constance Dunmore Weeks, David Dunmore, and Calvin Dunmore along with her mother left Virginia to come to New York when her parents separated. With the help of Kimberly's great Aunt, Marguerite Thompson, the family settled in Westbury, (New Cassel), N.Y. It was there that she became a student of the Westbury School District. Writing poetry and stories was introduced to her by one of her favorite teachers. Kimberly is a mother of six, a grandmother of eight and a dedicated wife. She became a Nurse aide, and a Real Estate Agent and worked in both fields for a period of time. Enjoying the life that God gave her, she is an active member of Christian Charity Deliverance Church where her Pastor Norris Porter mentors her. Kimberly spends her time cooking, writing, and enjoying the company of her family.
