Swati Chavda is an author, poet, artist, and former neurosurgeon.
Her poetry and cover art have featured in On Spec, Polar Borealis, and Polar Starlight, and have been finalists for the Aurora Award multiple times. Her speculative poem, At the Edge of Space and Time, won the 2020 Best Poet Aurora Award.
She currently lives in the beautiful town of Diamond Valley in western Canada with her husband (also a neurosurgeon-turned-author-editor) and their rambunctious dog Ninja.
Swati is currently working on a collection of travelogues and family stories. In addition, she is also writing a science fantasy series, Nomads of Time, and a humorous fantasy series, The Pitchfork Chronicles. Her characters tend to seek answers to questions ranging from “Is there life after death?” to “Should there be life before breakfast?” She uses too many commas, too few coffee breaks—and there’s a constant battle waging in her head between British and American spelling.
