Linda MacFarlane

Linda MacFarlane has always loved words. She was an English Literature major at Sacramento State College before attending the Academy of Stenographic Arts and Trinity College in San Francisco. She was proud to be issued Certified Shorthand Reporter's license #7813. The majority of her reporting career was in criminal, but Linda has also worked in bankruptcy, juvenile, family law and civil. She served as Chief Court Reporter, and managed 42 reporters in both Municipal and Superior Courts.

Linda has written poetry, short stories and ditty lyrics, but Amicus Curiae is her foray into publishing. She has also written a children's book about tolerance, Alternate Universe. Retired since 2009, Linda splits her time between golfing in California and fishing in Florida. Her three grandsons are the lights of her life.
