Andrea Vojtko writes literary stories often about birding, nature, eccentric or quirky characters with offbeat humor and poignancy. She is intrigued by the idea that many people are consumed by an esoteric interest or activity. She explores the solitary aspect and fragility of human nature and its essential connectivity with the natural world. She has been nominated in the past for a Pushcart prize. She studied writing at The Writer's Center in Bethesda, Maryland for many years. She lives in Arlington, Virginia and has many interests such as painting, genealogy and history which inform her writing.
