Dr. Karmen Smith is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Doctorate in Divinity. She is a Trauma Specialist and Ordained Minister. Dr. Karmen has over 20 years of experience in Child Welfare in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr. Karmen created the Coaching Visitation Program that works with families toward reunification after experiencing severe trauma.
She served as assistant pastor at the University Church of Metaphysics for many years.
Dr. Karmen Smith has taught that we can see the Divine everywhere, even in those who are violent, angry, and the hardest to love. Dr. Smith is a guest lecturer at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Social Work and a dynamic speaker. She has conducted groups in Juvenile Detention and in the Child Abuse and Neglect shelter, teaching children and staff; the events that happened to them are not who they are.
