Jane Stewart Robertson “wrote” her first story at age five by dictating it to her doting aunt. Since then, she has worked in advertising as a copywriter, an account executive, and as a vice president. She has served on the editorial staffs of three publications: a medical/legal journal, a boys’ monthly, and a nature periodical.
She authored a non-fiction book about the coal-mining industry and contributed to Chicken Soup for the Soul Celebrates Mothers, Chicken Soup for the Single Parent’s Soul, and A Cup of Comfort Devotional. She has published both fiction and non-fiction in small regional periodicals.
Twice the Writer’s Digest fiction-writing competition awarded her honorable mention, and she won an Ohio River Writer’s Conference fiction prize. An earlier version of Curst Be the Tie took first place for mystery in the Genesis Contest of the American Christian Fiction Writers.
Jane and her husband live in Utah, with lots of family in walking distance. They share their home with two rescued dogs who bark too much.
