Destiny J

Destiny J hails from Southern California. She grew up in the Hawthorne/Inglewood areas, and was raised by a single Mom. Destiny is a product of "The Village" (God Parents, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, Friend's Parents, Church Family & Teachers). She graduated from Middle College High School, while she also completed 40 College Credits at Southwest College. Then she spent 3 years at San Diego State University, where she majored in Theatre. She also had a weekly Radio Show, and participated in various organizations on campus, including the Aztec Poets Society where she served as Vice President. She has returned to Inglewood and is currently working to complete course work to get her BA.

Destiny's love of reading is what sparked her love of writing. She began writing at age 9, to pass time during the summer while her mother was at work. At 21, her first book "I Love You To Death" was published by Lock Down Publications. Stay tuned, because she has a lot more to offer.

Destiny is a workout junkie, sometimes going to the Gym twice a day. When she is not writing, she loves to watch TV, snack, go to the movies, party or just hang with friends and family playing Taboo.

She has always been encouraged to shoot for the Stars!
