Cheryl Clark

Cheryl Stevens Clark has been writing stories since she first learned to make wobbly letters in crayon, but you probably haven’t seen any of those early works. Lately, she's been writing tales of fantasy and adventure with her husband John Reed Clark, as well as a few on her own.

Their first novel, Sorrow's Ashes, explores a conflict of cultures in a classic fantasy setting, telling the tale from multiple viewpoints. Elves, Dwarves, Goblins, Orcs and Humans each see the world from their own perspective as characters journey toward tolerance in an intolerant world. The website www.EchoesofAshes.net is the continuation of that journey. There, the authors examine varied perspectives in an anthology of short stories set in different ages of the same fantasy world.

Cheryl lives in Northern Illinois with her husband and has worked in a library for a few decades.
