Larry Robbins was born in Jacksonville, Florida. His parents divorced when Larry was five years old and he, his mother and older brothers then began a semi-nomadic life traveling, literally, all over the United States. Larry discovered science fiction novels when he was nine years old and became a voracious reader, his favorite genres being Post-Apocalypse and Dystopian. He wrote numerous stories and two novels for his own entertainment while still in school.
After a four year stint in the U.S. Navy, Larry started his first Law Enforcement job as a Federal Investigator. He later transitioned to a position as a Supervisory Special Agent for the U.S. Department of Justice. Larry's last assignment was as a Coordinator for his agency's participation in the Organized Crime, Drug Enforcement Task Force. Larry's area of responsibility included seven states, The Territory of Guam and the Northern Marianas Islands.
After retiring, Larry accepted a contract to teach civilian law enforcement investigation techniques to members of the U.S. Army in Iraq. He spent six months in the program and considers his period of working in a war zone with so many young heroes to be a humbling and gratifying experience.
Larry wrote "The Olvion Reality" as a way to stave off the boredom of retirement after an action-filled life. When it was finished, he shared it with friends and family. Their enthusiastic reaction to the novel prompted him to self-publish it on Amazon. The public acceptance of the book was surprising and this first effort qualified him for membership in the prestigious Science Fiction, Fantasy Writers of America )SWFA).
Encouraged by the manner in which "The Olvion Reality" performed in the marketplace, Larry completed "The Coastal Kingdoms of Olvion", a sequel and the second installment of the Olvion Trilogy. The third book of the series, "The Giants of Olvion" finished out the series. For more information about Larry and his novels see his Facebook Page, Larry E.
