Tista Ghosh is a preventive medicine physician, epidemiologist, health journalist, and author. Born in Western New York, she grew up on chai, mac ‘n’ cheese, summers alternating between the Great Lakes and India, and a love of storytelling. She has served as Chief Medical Officer for Colorado, an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer, and an advisor on employee health to Fortune 500 companies.
Dr. Ghosh’s writing has appeared in Fast Company, Business Insider, Inc., HuffPost, and KevinMD, and she has been a guest expert on The Today Show, CNN, The New York Times, NPR, Forbes, USA Today, and more. In 2021, she received a media excellence award from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Her debut novel, Awakening Kali, explores mental illness through fiction. Her latest nonfiction book, Before the Next Crisis, shares stories from across America to highlight the human toll of COVID-19 and crucial lessons for future threats.
