Jeanette K. Muser

I am a retired high school librarian and an independent historian of New Jersey, with a Master's degree in History and another in Library Science (M.L.S). I have worked as a docent at the historical Rockingham site, where General Washington was stationed during the Battle of Princeton; at Drumthwacket, the NJ governor's mansion; and at the Griggstown Bridge Tender's House, among other historically relevant spots. I also wrote a book titled General George Washington's Departure from Military Service to commemorate the 225th anniversary of the end of the American Revolution, in association with the Rocky Hill Heritage Project, which I initiated in 1996. In 2002 I received the Somerset County Historic Preservation and History Award in the category of Education. I was a member of the Griggstown Historical Society team that narrated and scripted the award-winning DVD titled "Historic Griggstown: Then and Now".

I have lived in Rocky Hill since 1987. My most recent project is a draft manuscript about Vienna at the start of the Second World War. I have four grandchildren split between the two coasts of the United States.
