Crystal M Gomez

Crystal M. Gomez is a West Coast transplant with an East Coast upbringing.

Her passion for storytelling developed in childhood after a serious accident destroyed the use of her right arm. Multiple surgeries plunked her in a hospital bed with little to do except flip through picture books, imagine, and wait for someone to turn on Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color.

She understands the impact stories have on a child’s mind and heart. Her books thus far touch on feelings, bully awareness and the need to save our children from too much technology. Yet she believes, no lesson is complete without a touch of humor and fun sprinkled in.

Crystal is a grandmother of three and lives 12 miles from downtown San Diego with her husband and the backyard birds. On non-writing days she loves to meet friends for coffee, treasure hunt in thrift stores, and tries to keep her potted plants alive. She never knows where the next story might spring from.
