James Perren is a full professor in the California School of Education at Alliant International University in San Diego, California. (EdD - Temple University {Philadelphia, Pennsylvania} in Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology in Education; BA - Spanish and MA - TESOL - SJSU {San Jose, California}.

James Perren’s interdisciplinary scholarship has examined CALL in TESOL, service-learning in applied linguistics, materials development, teacher training, intercultural communication, and critical SLA theory. He has published edited collections on CALL theory and on service-learning in TESOL. Dr. Perren has also authored book chapters on CALL, peer-reviewed journal articles, contributions to TESOL publications, and TESOL affiliate newsletter articles.
