Dr.Lee-Anne Gray

Lee-Anne Gray, PsyD is a psychologist, educator, and author. She is certified in EMDR, a trauma treatment, as well as a national speaker and forensic expert in Educational Trauma, self-compassion, empathy, LGBT+ youth, special education, mindful awareness, assessment and gifted individuals. She is formerly an instructor of Psychology of Gender in the Departments of Psychology/Women’s Studies at UCLA. As the president and CEO of The Connect Group, she currently serves the global educational community with innovative educational solutions such as empathy, compassion cultivation workshops, Design Thinking programs, and consultation. Dr. Gray is a contributing author to Pedagogies of Kindness and Respect, where she discussed Educational Trauma, and EmpathicEducation for a CompassionateNation (EECN.) Along with young people as equal participants, Dr. Gray co-founded and co-designed EECN (a democratic educational model, shaped by Design Thinking), which she piloted as The Connect Group School. She is also the author of The Happy Family, Self-Compassion for Teens, LGBT+ Youth, and Educational Trauma: Examples from Testing to the School-to-Prison Pipeline.
