Arthur Mason

Arthur Mason is Associate Professor of Social Anthropology at NTNU, with research affiliations at LSE, SOAS University of London, and University of St Andrews. His work on contemporary energy worlds employs neo-aristocracy and an anthropology of surfaces to examine expertise as modes of presentation, judgment, and style. He is the author of Heritage and Arctic Late Industrialism in Alaska: Island of Inland Empire and the Inside the Energy Salon trilogy; the trilogy traces the circulation and performance of expertise in late-liberal governance.
