Matt Newnham is a British author who writes adventure-filled stories for children and young adults. He is best known for the Space Ranger Fred series, which blends humour, heart and STEM ideas in ways that make science feel fun and accessible. Matt began his career in farming before moving into the technology and marketing world, where storytelling and clear communication became central to his work. After years living in South Africa and Europe, he returned to the UK and now writes full time, alongside developing Space Ranger Fred into an animated series and educational games. His stories are shaped by a love of curiosity, problem-solving and the belief that learning works best when it feels like an adventure.
