Jason Miller

Since 2001 Dr. Miller has served as a strength coach for a wide range of athletes from middle school and high school athletes, to various levels of collegiate athletes, to professional and Olympic athletes.

Currently he is the strength coach for multiple USA Rowing athletes including the mens lightweight four and three top level heavyweight female rowers.

He also is the founder and head coach of the OCU Barbell Club and OKC Barbell Club, United States Weightlifting sanctioned clubs. The clubs, established in 2011, currently boast over 20 members including multiple national level competitors.

Dr. Miller received his PhD from the University of Utah in Exercise Physiology in 2010 and has participated as an author or presenter in various, and multiple, scholarly products. Dr. Miller has been an active member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association for over 15 years, earning his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification in 2006. Dr. Miller currently serves as department chair and is an associate professor in Exercise and Sport Science at Oklahoma City University, a position he has held since 2011. Most important, Dr. Miller has been a barbell enthusiast since he was 9, using his passion for lifting to help him reach his goals in becoming a college football player, strength coach and professor.
