Mr. Robert J. Walters

I was raised in Lakewood California, attended UCLA, where I edited the Gargoyle, a conservative answer to the Daily Bruin. Married with 4 children and 11 grandchildren, I have very aware of education and the problems that have existed. I have long been active in politics but also run a major business in Anaheim, CA. For the past 55 years I save and collated all articles and reports on the fads and decisions in Education none of which have made a real impact on the racial gaps. Liberals decided to group by race and I challenge is simply this: Have we overlooked that all kids were not created equal and that some difference between racial and ethnic groups is the result of genetics. But to even say this much less offer research quickly labels you a "racist" and bigot. I am far from that and truly believe that each child should be educated to their best ability even if that means no college degree. The world needs skilled tradesmen, plumbers, etc. Why threaten to fire the teachers if equal results are not forthcoming when all evidence shows it will never be equal.
