Cathy J Scott

Cathy Scott lives in outer eastern Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She and her husband David have raised four children, and have two granddaughters.

In “The Rhode to Zimkesalia” Cathy tells her story of being born in Rhode-sia and living a life that became tainted with fear, failure and loss. Her journey of life moving through Zim-babwe, Ke-nya, S-outh A-frica and Austra-lia, (hence the name Zimkesalia). She grew up in a country at war, where fear, family illness, loneliness, insecurity, death and change caused enormous grief, and Cathy shares her struggle through those experiences, interwoven with the unwavering faithfulness of God who upheld her as she put her faith in Him.

Cathy explores the inadequacies, insecurities and survival methods that many of us grow up with as a result of our life experiences. She tells of how she survived, how she coped and how she failed throughout those difficult times and shares the lessons she learned along the way.

Cathy gives hope to others who are struggling with tough experiences and suggests tools which worked for her and which have led to her not only surviving life, but thriving and flourishing in freedom. She has written vulnerably and honestly and aims to encourage and point the reader to a life of hope and joy.

It's a story of hope and restoration, of healing out of brokenness, victory over grief and how God’s amazing grace, love, peace and comfort has brought freedom to her life.
