Jack Kirk

Jack Kirk was born in 1946 in the small town of Carluke, Scotland, grew up there and joined the British Merchant Navy at the age of twenty-two after spending an ill fated but interesting ten months in Gibraltar. An engineer to trade he progressed to the rank of Chief Engineer working for many companies and traveled to some seventy countries before retiring at the age of fifty-nine.

It was during long trans-pacific trips mostly that he started writing books like Voyage 1 & 2, the story of his career, and some minor fiction as well but it was not till retirement that he really spent time writing, and not till 2015 he began publishing in Amazon formats.

Since then he has continued and now has written some twenty-two books in various guises, including historical fantasy, science fiction and fact.

"It is all about enjoying the writing that's important." is his motto and continues to write and enjoy the life in the village of Duntocher, Scotland, where he now lives, constantly annoying some of the people in his local bar who he sometimes casts as characters!
