Angeline King

Angeline King, a novelist and author of family history from Northern Ireland, was selected as Writer in Residence of Ulster University 2020-2023, having won a competitive scholarship to complete a PhD in creative writing. Angeline's work has featured on BBC Radio Ulster and BBC Antiques Road Trip, and her essays, poems and short stories have been published in The Irish Times, The Belfast Telegraph, The Bangor Literary Journal, The Honest Ulsterman and the Ulster Historical Foundation's Familia. Angeline has won several regional awards through the Linen Hall Library and Frances Browne Literary Festival, while the North Star Anthology of women's writing, which Angeline initiated and co-edited, was short-listed for the Carousel Award for Irish independent publications in 2024. As well as completing a doctorate in English in 2023, Angeline has an MA in Applied Languages and Business from Ulster University and a BA Hons in History in French from Queen's University. Her new novel is The Secret Diary of Stephanie Agnew. Expect identity politics, history, languages and laughter!
