Ajoy K. Sarkar

Ajoy K. Sarkar is a professor of Textile Development and Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology, State University of New York. Following undergraduate education in India, he obtained MS and PhD degrees in Textile Sciences from The University of Georgia. Dr. Sarkar is an author/co-author of over forty-five publications and research abstracts presented at national and international conferences. His work has been published in AATCC Review, Clothing and Textiles Research Journal, and The Journal of the Textile Institute. He also serves as an associate editor for the AATCC Journal of Research. Dr. Sarkar is a member of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) and International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA). Prior to teaching at FIT, Dr. Sarkar was on the faculty of the Department of Design and Merchandising at Colorado State University.
