I am a Southern humorist, storyteller and writer who loves to make people laugh—and think—with the stories I share. I use my voice in person, in print and online to share funny, familiar tales of Southern life. I'm also an overprotective mother, a habitual furniture re-arranger, an etiquette enthusiast, a wannabe philanthropist, a loyal admirer of beautiful interior design and a hopeless dog lover. When I'm not telling funny stories I'm most likely cleaning, cooking or hanging drapes somewhere in my house.

My husband and I are both Alabama natives and we now make our home in Point Washington, Florida. We love cooking together, spending time outdoors and visits from our two children, Jake and Sadie Sue.
